Kernersville Parks and Recreation strives to improve the quality of life & Safety for its citizens & employees by offering diverse quality programs, activities, parks & Town facilities, while also protecting the environment.
Kernersville Parks & Recreation is a nationally recognized and accredited agency; the department has become an integral component of the community by following its Mission Statement. KPRD maintains and manages eight parks as well as several local landmarks and common grounds. In addition, we also provide many events and programs to the citizens of Kernersville throughout the year. Parks and Recreation provides Kernersville citizens quality of life services through our parks, programs, and community events. Individuals and families are able to enjoy passive and active lifestyles promoting health, fitness, social interaction, and overall well-being.
The community recreation center and local parks provide a safe environment for affordable programs and passive recreation for everyone to enjoy.
Through our special events and facilities Kernersville has become a major tourist hot spot in Forsyth County. These services account for economic development, better business vitality and hotel occupancies.
