PLANNING BOARD CASES

 It is important for the Town of Kernersville to keep our citizens updated on the changes that are occurring in our community.  For this reason, the Community Development Department feels it is valuable for you to know and understand what new cases are forthcoming.  We encourage you to attend the Planning Board meetings and to become involved in the Hearings on any issues that interest you. 

Our Planning Board meets every second Monday of the month.  It's responsibility is to analyze the Community Development Department's recommendations which are based solely on facts and findings and from this, surmise their own recommendations to forward to the Board of Aldermen.  The Board of Aldermen meet every first Tuesday of the month. The Board of Aldermen make the final decisions.
