      • NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: PLEASE CALL 911 IF A TREE IS BLOCKING THE ROAD OR COMES DOWN ON A POWER LINE.

      • REMINDER: 2025 2nd Gray Cart Stickers have expired.  Please make sure to order your new sticker (good from 7/1/2025-6/30/2026) to avoid any collection disruption with the 2nd gray cart. This is ONLY for residents with an extra trash cart. You do not need to do anything if you only have 1 trash cart. You may order through Carts & More Store on our “Kernersville Collects” phone app or this website.
      • Extra Household Garbage, Bulk, and Yard Waste: Residents who reside inside of Town limits can drop-off extra household trash, bulky items, metal and white goods, and yard debris at the Convenience Drop-Off Located at 720 McKaughan St (Gate 3) | Normal operating hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 7:00AM – 1:00PM. The Town requires proof of residency such as a driver’s license or utility bill.  Construction materials, demolition debris, and hazardous waste will NOT be accepted.

      The department consists of five divisions providing a wide variety of services. These include street maintenance, solid waste collection, recycling, stormwater management, facilities and fleet maintenance, civil inspections and project management.
