RE-ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Spring Resurfacing 2019
TOWN OF KERNERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Kernersville, North Carolina until 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 15th, 2019 for the construction of Spring Resurfacing.
All Sealed Envelopes must be marked “Spring Resurfacing 2019” on the front of the Envelope.
A pre-bid conference, will be conducted at the Public Services Department, Conference Room at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 14, 2019.
General Scope of this work includes: 4,112 tons of Asphalt type SF9.5B, 450 square yards of Full Depth Patch Removal (@3’), 120 tons of S9.5C Asphalt for Full Depth Patch Replacement (@3”), 270 tons of Aggregate Base Course @8”, 40,962 square yards of Profile Milling, 980 linear feet of 4” Pavement Line (Thermo), 6 Pavement Marking Arrows (Thermo), 10 Stop Bars (@2’ EA), 352 linear feet High Viz. crosswalk, 33 Structure Adjustments, 1 traffic loop.
Plan copies of the Proposal, Contract and Specifications, etc. may be obtained from the Town of Kernersville Public Services Department by contacting Chris Decoskey at (336) 399-3509. Contract will also be on file with The Associated General Contractors of North Carolina.
The Bids for this proposed work will be received until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15th, 2019 in the Conference Room at the Town of Kernersville Public Services Building, located at 509 Michael Street, Kernersville, North Carolina 27284, at which place and at the time stated above they will be publicly opened and read.
Consideration will be given only to Bids of Contractors who are able to submit evidence showing that they are properly licensed under “An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting”, ratified by the General Assembly of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and so subsequently amended.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids.
The Town of Kernersville, North Carolina reserves the right to increase or diminish the quantities or items given in the Proposal and to award Contracts which appear to be in the best interest of the Town.
