2024 Spring Resurfacing
TOWN OF KERNERSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
Sealed Bids for the referenced Project will be received by the Public Services Department of the Town of Kernersville located at 509 Michael Street, Kernersville, NC 27284, until Friday, February 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. EST local time.
At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
All Sealed Envelopes must be marked “2024 Spring Resurfacing” on the front of the Envelope.
The Project includes the following Work in the Base Bid:
The 2024 Spring resurfacing project includes 5.17 Miles of roadway (+/-) but is not limited to the following:
a. Mobilization
b. Traffic Control
c. 1.5” Profile Milling
d. Asphalt Placement
e. Transverse Joints
f. Pavement Marking
g. Shoulder Work
h. Structure Adjustment
Bids are requested for the following Contract:
2024 Spring Resurfacing Project.
Timeframe:
The Project has an expected duration of 90 days.

Pre-Bid Conference:
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Friday, February 9th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. EST at Town of Kernersville, Public Services Main Building–Pinnix Room, 509 Michael Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
Consideration will be only given to Bidders who submit evidence that they are licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of work for which a Bid is submitted.
Instructions to Bidders:
Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. The appropriate forms are attached as Exhibits to the contract and must be submitted with each bid to show good faith efforts to obtain Minority and Women Owned business Enterprise participation.
The town of Kernersville awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age or handicapped conditions as defined by North Carolina General Statues, Section 168A-3.
The Town of Kernersville reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, the Chief Construction inspector will also be coordinating any correspondence.
