ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

KERNERSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT (KPD) RANGE BUILDING

FOR TOWN OF KERNERSVILLE

 

Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Kernersville (Owner), 134 East Mountain Street, Kernersville, North Carolina 27284 at Kernersville’s Town Hall, Main Conference Room until 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 20, 2022 for the Kernersville Police Department (KPD) Range Building.

At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The proposed work includes construction of a “KPD Range Building” which includes construction of a 40’-0” by 60’0” by 12’ eave height pre-engineered building to contain a New Shooting Range Building and Ancillary Office Space for the Kernersville Police Department. The Site of the Work includes property, easements, and designated work areas described in greater detail in the Contract Documents but generally located at 7385 Goodwill Church Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.

The proposed work has an expected duration of 160 calendar days.

Plans and Bid Documents can be found on the Town’s website (https://toknc.com/) and at the office of OBRIEN: Architecture, 143 North Main Street, Suite 1, Kernersville, NC. Bid Documents and Construction Drawings may be obtained from Consulting Architect upon request. Consideration will be only given to Bidders who submit evidence that they are licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina, duly licensed accordingly for the appropriate section of work for which a Bid is submitted.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 am EST, Wednesday, April 13, 2022 the KPD Range Building project site, 7385 Goodwill Church Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.

Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Construction Performance bond and a Construction Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract.

Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the right to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids, and to reject the bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities.

Minority and female owned businesses are invited and encouraged to bid.

If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award within the number of days set forth in the Bid Form. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
