Town staff have recently seen an increase in kids trespassing on construction sites where there could be many hidden dangers such as unstable ground, trenches, heavy equipment, dangerous chemicals and sharp objects. The Town is asking parents to please have a conversation with your children about the potential dangers of entering construction sites; especially while the sites are active. These sites might seem enticing to the young and curious but are potentially dangerous and could put your kids in a life-threatening situation quickly.
A cave recently found where kids have been digging out under a newly constructed storm drain outlet in the creek bank. This is an unsafe situation as the ground could easily collapse.
